Sick Day

Natalia was sick the past few days with high fevers and a sore throat. She really didn't feel good but we tried to make the best of it.  She ate very little and so Devin took us out for Jamba Juice. Not a bad way to treat a cold or whatever she had. I also let her watch a few more episodes of Dora then she normally is allowed and we hung a hammock in between the doors.

Laila"s first tooth

O.k the moment has arrived. Laila"s first tooth broke through on April 7 or 8th. I hope it doesn't take long for the others to come. I can't imagine weeks and months of aching, throbbing gums.

She will use anything to chew on!

Another accomplishment I need to record that happened this week. She scooted from Natalia's room to the kitchen. She thought that was so fun that she now is scooting everywhere and getting into a lot of trouble, for example: she found a lipstick of mine and smeared it all over her clothes, the wall, the white rug, she seemed to have loved ever minute of it.



Birthday cake

I thought it would be fun to decorate a cake for Natalia this year. I don't think I will ever do it again. I am not talented enough to take my ideas and bring them to life, but i tried. I feel bad because I had done some fun things for Natalia's little get together but I forgot to take pictures. I did however take pictures of the decorations and cake. The pictures didn't turn out that good but I can still remember how excited she got when she woke up and saw the house was decorated just for her. She was so shocked and excited when she saw her cake.

Slumber party with cousins

We had the opportunity to watch Hanna and Julia over the weekend. It was a perfect time because Natalia’s birthday was that same weekend. I think that made her feel very special to play and have a slumber party with her cousins.

We played outside and then had the girls take a bath. Devin combed their hair.

Laila at 9 months

Laila is becoming such a little girl. She loves to play with toys, she loves to watch what all the other kids around her are doing, I know she wishes she could run and play with them. I started working at a childcare place and she just sits and plays. I am so happy to see that she is adjusting well. I love that I have a job where I can still play and watch my kids. I am grateful for the opportunity I still have to watch my girls grow up day by day. Laila likes do make all sort of sounds, she mama and dada but I know she doesn't really understand what it means, she likes to make fishy faces, she laughs all day and I love how excited she gets when she sees me coming (she does it with Devin and Natalia too). She doesn't crawl and roll over but she scoots on her bum. I love when I leave her in a room and I find her stuck in between furniture. She is always seeking for little pieces of garbage she can stick in her mouth. All the things she does bring me such joy.  Here is a video of how cute she is.

New haircut

Natalia got a new haircut this past weekend. I was in the process of deciding if we should just trim it or cut it. The decision was made for me when Natalia took scissors to her hair. I am happy that she looks beautiful with short or long hair.

I can't believe she is 3 years old in two weeks.
